Plugin Boutique has announced an exclusive sale on the Mandoline by Cinematique Instruments, offering a 30% discount on the virtual instrument featuring the sounds of a flat back soprano mandolin from Ireland, tuned like a violin in G-D-A-E.
Our main focus was to create an Mandolin instrument which delivers a natural and organic feel. Our instrument provides two different plucking sounds, „Plucked 1“ sounding more clean and detailed while „Plucked 2“ sounds more intimate and warm with a focus on the course string sound. Furthermore the ‘Plucked 1’ articulation is equipped with a very powerful and organic tremolo feature which allows you to play easily the Mandolin in the typical „tragic“ tremolo style.
In addition to that we programmed a strumming engine which performs patterns based on the pressed keys. This is best suitable for accompanying your song or music. It is very easy to use – you only need to draw your pattern in the sequencer and flip between dead notes and open strokes – that’s it. But you are also free to strum manually by selecting the ‘strummed’ articulation and play around with the key switches.
Mandoline for the full version of Kontakt 4 or higher is on sale for 25.20 EUR until June 1st, 2020 (regular 36 EUR).
Cinematique Instruments has recently also released two new instrument libraries. Pandrum is a collection of 6 handpans and 2 tongue drums, which have been recorded very precisely.

Vertigo Violin for Kontakt is a new addition to Cinematique Instruments’ symphonic range.
It is an exciting mixture of different playing techniques of the violin, which have been assembled into our existing Vertigo Engine. The sound of Vertigo Violin is both smooth and rough and opens up the possibility to create very unique and soft string instrument tunings as well as more extreme and strange sounding soundscapes. And all this is – as always – very organic and lively. It fits so well to all types of film music.
In addition, Vertigo violin comes with a portamento patch that plays fifths portamento in up and down variations – all in a polyphony of 1 to 8 violins.
