Ghost Note Audio has introduced a major update to its algorithmic reverb effect plugin designed for emulating huge, endless spaces and modulated echoes.
Initially released as an open-source, Windows-only plugin in 2014, Version 2.0 of Cloud Seed comes with a brand new UI, fixed compatibility issues, and the plugin has been brought up to standard for modern DAW workflows.
The algorithms are based on the same principles as many classic studio reverb units from the 1980’s. CloudSeed does not attempt to model any specific device, or even to be a general-purpose reverb plugin at all. It is best employed as a special effect, for creating thick, lush pads out of simple input sounds.
Cloud Seed 2.0 for Windows and Mac (VST3 and AU) is available to purchase for £39 GBP (Personal license) or £69 GBP (Professional license). You can try the plugin with a free unlimited time evaluation.
For a limited time only, a purchase of Cloud Seed comes with a free license of the Infinity Loop experimental digital reverb inspired by early ’90s digital rack units.
