After 14 years making music & sound design for blockbuster movie trailers, Gothic Storm will launch a collection of 58 Toolworks Sound Packs for composers and producers on June 10th, around 5% of its library.
In celebration of the launch, you can download a free taster sample pack with sounds from each of the 58 packs.
Additionally, you are invited to take part in Gothic Toolworks’ launch competition, in which you use the samples from the taster pack to create a track for a 1-minute trailer.
The challenge is to do something great and creative with ONLY these free sounds – no samples, no percussion libraries, no synths. Nothing else. Just these!
To make up for the limited number of sounds, feel free to go to town on effects, granular synthesis, distortion, saturation, compression, pitch shifting, time stretching, reversing, filters, panning, layering (of sounds within the free set, not others!), gating and any other tricks up your sleeve.
The deadline for submitting your entry is June 9th, 2024 (midnight Pacific Time). The winner will receive the entire collection of 58 sound packs (5,800+ sounds in total), worth $5,742 USD.
