Heartwood Soundware has announced the release of a new soundset for the Zebra 2 software synthesizer by u-he.
Following soundsets for Diva and Repro, the new Celestite collection brings 111 patches for u-he’s flagship synth.
This sound set takes it’s inspiration from beauty on the edge of collapse. Gorgeous drifting pads and drones, biting basses, basslines leads, percussive loops, sequences and ARP patterns. But you can warp and punish these sounds to the edge of collapse.
This time there is no separate WTF section, as Zebra2 has extensive X/Y performance controls. Each sound has been carefully programmed to make use of the modwheel and the X/Y controllers – see how quickly a sound can get into WTF territory…
The aim with this set was to make a batch of cinematic sounds, hovering on the edge of glorious collapse. As you’d expect this set ranges from celestial beauty, through to grungy industrial with influences ranging from early 70’s electronica through witch house, cinematic soundtracks and underground noise.
Regularly £14.95 GBP, the soundset is on sale for the intro price of £9.95 GBP for a limited time.
