Hidden Path Audio has released Barrage – Cinematic Percussion Designer, a new percussion instrument library for Kontakt.
The library, formatted for Native Instruments Kontakt 5.5.1 (Full version required, not the free Player), contains 2.3 GB of content (compressed using Kontakt’s proprietary file compression from 6 GB of raw content).
The unique Ensemble Designer layout gives the user total flexibility, allowing one to not only stack elements into giant hits, but also perform rhythms with ensemble hits, accents, low/sub elements, and sound designed hit tails all in real time. On top of the ensemble content in Barrage, also included is a wealth of single drums and expertly sound designed percussion.
The user interface also allows for complete control over the most crucial parameters. An on-screen mixer featuring three microphone positions grants total control over the mix, as well as the ability to load/unload mixes and mute/solo options while tweaking the sound. The built-in FX section creates several sonic shaping possibilities with the included Slam (transient shaping & compression), Crush (saturation), Delay (including synced musical values for delay time), and Reverb effects.
Aimed at composers and producers working in film, TV, video games, and trailers, Hidden Path Audio say Barrage excels at high intensity action style scoring.
Barrage is available for an introductory price of $99 USD through March 17th, 2017 (regular $149 USD).
