HOFA-Plugins has announced the release of its next-generation true peak mastering limiter IQ-Series Limiter V2, a major new version of the mastering tool.
The update comes with 3 new limiting algorithms for a total of 6, a revised operating concept, LUFS metering, and a time chart.
The new algorithms Transparent, Hard and Electronic offer the right limiting for every application and every genre. These are complemented by the V1 modes Fast, Med and Slow. The parameters Clip and Pump can be set via an XY pad. With these “musical parameters”, the sound of the limiter can be adjusted in a single step. A visualization illustrates how the limiter interacts with the sound.
An integrated meter shows the most important loudness data: short term & integrated LUFS, loudness range and true peak. With the help of the time chart, input & output level, gain reduction and short term loudness can be analyzed over the time. Other new features include: up to 32x oversampling, DC cut, sidechain input, freely adjustable channel link, and graphics with OpenGL acceleration.
Available for Windows and Mac (VST3, AU and AAX), the IQ-Series Limiter V2 is now available at an introductory price of 143.90 EUR.
