Homegrown Sounds has announced version 2 of its Kosmos sound library engine for Native Instruments Kontakt.
Kosmos is a scripted Virtual Analog style Synth Script for Kontakt designed to be a front end for high quality sample libraries.
Kosmos has been re-written from the ground up for Kontakt 4 and 5. As well as looking much prettier than than Kontakt 3 version, it takes the Kosmos concept as far as it can go with over 2500 lines of code to create a true dual synth engine. It now includes 3 tempo synced LFOs to modulate individual Filter Cutoffs, Volumes and Pitch, as well as having separate controls for Waveform, Pan, Tune, Velocity, Env->Filter and Filter Type. Additionally the Sequencer has been rewritten and improved, it has 3 sequencers one for Play/Pitch, Velocity and Note Length all of which can have independent step lengths.
Infekted and Starburst have both been updated, as well as Infekted Lite (Note that after extracting Infekted Lite to your hard drive, you must run the installer for either Windows or MAC which is located in the extracted folder, this will install the images used by Kosmos into your Kontakt ‘pictures’ folder).
Kosmos Infekted is available to purchase for $50 USD until the end of June, 2013 (regular $125 USD). Updates for Infekted and Starburst are free to existing users.
