I rarely use overdrive/distortion in my music but every time I see one of these inspired by models I want to hook up my electric guitar and give it a go. The TSE-808’s DIY panel is just so inviting. If anyone does a proper BOSS Heavy Metal HM-2 I probably will ;-)
Dean, plusdistortion is another one to check perhaps.
And Mokafix seemed to get some good comments on some of his plugins, but I’m not sure if he’s still around… http://www.mokafix.com/en/effects-overview.html
Ah good, I find boost/overdrive/distortion/fuzz ‘virtual’ pedals to always be the biggest weak area in any & every one of the virtual guitar/bass guitar amplifier software that i have tried *personally*. So with Ignite Amps, TSE and BTE all offering seperate dedicated overdrive emulation/simulation plug-ins hopefully this shall change. I would dearly like to say that i am 100% satisfied with guitar & bass amplification solutions ITB but at the moment i could not even say i am even 40% satisfied. Of course it depends on personal preference and i have heard some great stuff from people using ITB solutions so please do not read this as analogue snobbery of any sort. Cheers and all the best
