Igorski has announced the release of an update to its emulation of Commodore 64’s SID sound chip.
Version 1.1.0 of VSTSID supports note velocity, tuning, pitch bend and portamento.
All the snaky, gliding leads of old can now be recreated to your hearts content. You can get the new version from the existing download page.
WebSID users can also enjoy the new portamento feature as it has been ported to the web application as well. Additionally, the latest version also features several smaller improvements and bugfixes (nobody noticed the echo effect only worked on the left speaker ? Ouch).
Additionally, Igorski has announced extended AU support for existing plugins.
The Rechoir, Darvaza and VSTSID plugins are now available as Audio Units, supporting both Intel and M1 hardware.* As with the VSTSID update, these versions are available for download from the existing product pages.
