Imaginando has announced the release of an update to its polyphonic software synthesizer instrument. Version 2.10.0 of DRC brings VST3 plugin support.

The update deprecates the AAX plugin format, and removes cloud sync functionality due to low demand.

Instead, we are offering single preset import/export options alongside the existing bank import/export functionality. This leads to another key modification: in previous versions, preset banks were stored in a single file. From now on, presets will be saved individually. When you update to the new version of DRC, any local banks will be automatically migrated into folders of single preset files. If you open a preset from an older version that hasn’t yet been migrated, DRC will convert it to the new format.

Additionally, a new Electric Sheep Dreams cyberpunk-inspired sound bank with a wide range of futuristic sounds has been released.

From expansive, Vangelis-like pads and leads to the smooth electronic textures reminiscent of Jean-Michel Jarre, this collection has everything you need to shape the sound of tomorrow.

With the release of DRC 2.10.0, expansion packs will be offered as optional add-ons. To ensure consistency across platforms, an add-on purchased on one platform will be usable across all platforms. To minimize disruption for our existing users, anyone who owns a DRC desktop license or is subscribed to DRC Rent-To-Own will receive licenses for all previous expansion packs, with the exception of Electric Sheep Dreams.

To celebrate the release of DRC 2.10.0, Imaginando is offering a 50% discount for a limited time. The desktop version is on sale for 44.50 EUR for a limited time.
