Impact Soundworks has announced the release of Juggernaut: Cinematic Electronic Scoring Tools, a comprehensive collection of synthesized percussion, basses, and FX for Native Instruments Kontakt and Kontakt Player.
With sounds from a team of top designers, including Mick Gordon, Erik Ekholm, and Jordan Fehr, this cinematic toolbox was custom-built for hybrid scoring, EDM, and musical sound design.
Juggernaut features over 500 24-bit sounds ranging from impacts, sweeps, risers, and textures, to drum kits, oneshots, and synth basses. The Drums/FX engine includes 6 different FX categories that supply users with powerful cinematic hits and transitions. The Drum library ranges from physically modeled percussion instruments such as bodhrans, taikos, and roto toms, to kicks, thips, snares, and crashes. Each highly-polished sound was crafted from scratch by the design team without the use of drum machines.
Impact Soundworks was founded in 2007 by composers Andrew Aversa and Will Roget, II with the goal of creating innovative, affordable and unique sample libraries “designed with composers in mind.” Its critically acclaimed catalog of instruments has been used by thousands of composers around the world in film, television, video game and other music productions.
“Modern soundtracks, trailers and music productions use more electronic elements than ever,” said Aversa, lead designer of the library. “Our goal with Juggernaut was to create an arsenal of bleeding-edge, pure electronic sounds that are ideal for scoring work, whether layered with acoustic and orchestral elements, or solo in a mix.”
In addition to the Drum/FX patch, a powerful Bass Patch is included with Juggernaut. This patch includes a subtractive-style synth engine with filter/amp envelopes, over 50 distinct bass waveforms, and a 16-step rhythmic gater/retrigger sequencer along with time-synced options for filtering and modwheel control. Both patches support user presets as well a library of factory presets for effects, kits, and sequencing.
Juggernaut: Cinematic Electronic Scoring Tools is available to purchase for the introductory price of $139 USD for a limited time (MSRP is $179 USD).
