Following last year’s Basset Horn, Inouï Samples has returned with another release in the Sweet Acoustic Textures series of sample libraries for Native Instruments Kontakt.
Viola offers both a traditional virtual instrument and a random acoustic textures generator, featuring a selection of 15 classic, less common and unheard playing techniques.
In addition to the usual techniques, you can work with harmonic bisbigliando, flautando sul ponticello, ricochet… using, according to your needs, keyswitches or note density, velocity range and spatialization controls.
The 2904 selected samples were recorded on a 1941 Ernest Ledler viola with an italica backplate in short and neutral acoustics, without any concession choosing the gears, then treated with the greatest care in the respect of the instrument tone.
