Kilohearts has announced an update to the its flagship synthesizer instrument Phase Plant, adding a fully-featured, yet simple to use granular synthesis engine to the modular synth.

The Granular Engine allows you to create exceptionally dynamic and expressive instruments, explore new and exciting rhythmical soundscapes, and mesmerize your listeners with rich, evolving harmonies. The engine features on-the-fly sample editing to allow you to quickly snip, slice, fade, and preview your samples in real-time as you develop your patches.
The update also includes a handful of new factory presets to give you a taste of what is possible with the new update, as well as new samples from Arovane and Oddiction.
Available for Windows and Mac (VST/VST3, AU and AAX), Phase Plant is priced $199 USD. Owners of the synth can get the update for free.
