Klevgrand has announced an update to its sample-based sequencer plugin for shaker percussion instruments. Version 1.2 of Skaka brings new instruments with a grittier sound.
While Skaka already pretty much covered the whole spectra, we were still missing dirtier, darker and overall grittier percussion sounds in the toolbox of Skaka. This made us look beyond the already recorded percussion laying on our shelves and engaged our invention mode.
We started to craft our own instruments, experimenting with different containers, materials and contents of shakable stuff and didn’t stop until we achieved the ”darker” percussion set we were aiming for. All this experimenting resulted in 6 new premium sounding instruments for Skaka, all captured in top-tier stereo recordings.
Additionally, you can now double or halve Skaka’s sequence speed relative to the host’s BPM, which is useful for experimenting with your pattern at various speeds or when you’re after a different tempo-vibe than what your DAW is currently set to. The update also adds a resizable GUI.
A free update for owners of previous versions of Skaka, new customers can purchase the plugin at the intro priced of $39.99 USD (regular $69.99 USD).
The offer is available at the Klevgrand store and from Plugin Boutique until December 5th, 2024.
