Loopmasters has released a new sample pack by Kawasaki City-based music production company Diana Sound Entertainment.
Evoking retro and melancholic feelings, the royalty free Japanese Pop features unique Japanese chord progressions to inspire vocals to create beautiful melodies.
Japanese music is characterized by a lot of development, using different chord progressions for the Verse A-melody, Verse B-melody (or pre-chorus) and chorus, and the ups and downs of the whole song.
This pack focuses on the urban CITY POP style music, which is one of the unique genres birthed in Japan. Within the multiple genres inside J-POP, the trending CITY POP is somewhat ambiguous, with no clear definition.
In addition to the extensive use of analogue instruments, the melodies are in contrast to pop songs with a rustic atmosphere. Specifically, CITY POP songs have made extensive use of digital musical devices such as synthesizers, and the chord progressions have a fashionable, urban atmosphere.
The sample pack is available to purchase for £24.95 GBP.
