Loopmasters has launched a new sample pack featuring a range of funky grooves and soulful instrumentation, inspired by Motown pioneers like James Jamerson and 70s icons like James Brown.
With the sounds of real basses, drums and keyboards, Funk & Soul Variations Vol. 1 by The Brothers Nylon is the perfect source of inspiration for beat-makers looking to add depth and character to their tracks, as well as instrumentalists looking for inspiration in their compositions.
The Brothers Nylon consists of Mike and Nick Rufolo, two musicians born and raised in New York City. With 15+ album releases and hundreds of YouTube videos under their belt, they’ve been displaying their virtuoso skills since the late 2000s, typically favouring a combination of TASCAM and Otari tape machines, Peavey and Greco basses, Nord keyboards, Juno synths, and a mix of different strings and brass instruments. In addition to their work with Loopmasters, they’ve also produced content for companies like Reason Studios, APM Music, and BandLab.
Co-created with Swedish producer, Black Dragon, Funk + Soul Variations Vol 1 offers up 300+ MB of original, royalty-free content from drum, bass and keyboard loops to synth and guitar one shots. Largely recorded on the famed Tascam 388 tape machine, alongside Motown pre-amps like the Altec 1566a and classic ribbon mics like the Melodium 42Bn, it’s a fantastic collection of organic sounds that can be used to fill out your existing beats with live instrumentation or used as a basis for song writing.
The Loopcloud-ready pack is priced £19.95 GBP, with parts also sold separately from £6.95 GBP.
