The story of Ternion Sound began at the 2016 Infrasound Music Festival, where bass music producers Apparition, Johnny Foreplay, and Nostalgia came together for a spontaneous B2B set on the Beach stage. The trio’s chemistry was immediate and electrifying, sparking the beginning of something much bigger. When they reunited at Origin-414 Studios in Minneapolis, MN, it became clear that their bond extended beyond festival magic. Ternion Sound was born—a three-headed beast ready to take the bass music world by storm.
In just two years, Ternion Sound has captivated the global dubstep community, with releases on esteemed labels like Duploc, Chestplate, and Silent Motion. Their music has earned the support of bass music pioneers including Digital Mystikz, Distance, J:Kenzo, Bukez Finezt, and Joe Nice, among others. Regulars on underground dance floors across genres, the trio also boasts impressive credentials outside the booth: Johnny Foreplay and Nostalgia teach music production at Slam Academy, a respected institution in the electronic music community. With over 32 years of combined production experience, their collective expertise shines through in their visceral, gut-rumbling 140 BPM masterpieces.
