Sound designer Søren Hybel aka Luftrum has announced the launch of the Audio Industry for MusiCares COVID-19 Relief, an auction in which you can bid on software, studio effects and hardware instruments donated by companies and developers in the audio industry.
After raising over $230,000 USD for Save the Children, Plastic Oceans and WWF over the last 10 years, this year the auction will benefit the MusiCares COVID-19 Relief.
COVID-19 has had an impact on everything this year, including our music industry. It has affected thousands of composers, producers and music creators who are left with an uncertain future, so this year we are giving back to our peers by raising funds to MusiCares COVID-19 Relief.
MusiCares COVID-19 Relief is a partnership between MusiCares and the Recording Academy (GRAMMY) and has helped upwards of 18.000 music industry artists and professionals affected by the pandemic, focusing on the most pressing needs and prioritizing those who experience a medical, dental, mental health, insurance, substance abuse or eviction crisis.
The auction features products from Native Instruments, Applied Acoustics Systems, Spectrasonics, u-he, Mutable Instruments, Bitwig, XLN Audio, AudioThing, and many more. Rekkerd is contributing a 150 EUR banner campaign to the auction, so make sure to head on over and put your bids in before the end of the auction (October 31st, 2020, midnight CET).
