So what do I think?
Format: 16bit WAV/REX + sampler patches
Price: £19.95 GBP
With 290 MB Sultan’s sample library isn’t going to break any records on content size, but quantity doesn’t mean quality. The drum loops are tight and quite funky really. Many of them have a good number of variations with the same drum sounds so you can use them like construction kits, adding bits and pieces. I really enjoyed the musical loops, which are very inspirational. I’m not into using bass loops much but I dropped them in with some of the beats and I think they’re pretty good too.
The single shot samples and sampler patches are a nice addition but nothing special, except perhaps the FX section which includes some lovely hits and glitchy noises.
Loopmasters is offering a free download with 10 samples and you can listen to the demo sounds on the Sultan product page so check it out to see how you like it.
