Moog Music has announced the official release of the MF CHORUS Bucket Brigade Time Modulator and the MF FLANGE Bucket Brigade Harmonic Manipulator, two new Minifooger analog effects pedals.
The MF CHORUS is a 100% analog BBD based time modulation pedal capable of a wide array of sonic shifting and manipulation in both mono and stereo output modes.
A three-position Mix switch quickly transitions the effect from subtle shifting and swirling into analog vibrato, while the wide-range Time and Feedback controls allow users to completely customize each sound to their personal taste.
In moderate settings the MF Chorus is warm and full of character, but at extreme settings it becomes a multi-octave modulated slap delay with near-infinite feedback trails. Like all Minifooger Analog Effects, the MF Chorus features a dedicated expression pedal input on its rear panel. This input provides hands-free control over one parameter – the Rate knob.
The MF FLANGE is a 100% analog BBD based harmonic manipulator pedal designed to far exceed the voicing and flexibility constraints of traditional flanger designs.
It features two dedicated voicing modes, vocal and traditional, which are easily selected via the two-position Type switch. The wide-range Time and Feedback controls allows for fine-tuning of the MF Flange’s sonic vocabulary, which reaches from bright metallic modulation and classic jet flange, to chaotic pitch shifting and even analog chorus.
Like all Minifooger Analog Effects, the MF Flange features a dedicated expression pedal input on its rear panel. This input provides hands-free control over one parameter – the Time knob.
The new Minifooger pedals are available for pre-order for $209 USD each.
Moog has also announced a new motif for the Minifooger family of analog effects that marks a departure from the pedal’s original all-black aesthetic.
Though the look has changed, Minifoogers are still hand-built in Asheville, NC. Each unit is housed in a compact, cast aluminum enclosure and features a 100% analog signal path, true bypass switching, optional battery power, and a single expression pedal input providing hands-free control over one specified parameter within each unit.
