MuTools has announced the release of an update to its creative music studio software for Windows and Mac. MuLab 9.3 comes with VST3 plugin support and various improvements and fixes.
MuLab is an inspiring music studio featuring an integrated top-quality modular synth, sampler and effect engine. MuLab is an easy and rock-solid tool designed to create, record, edit and finalize your music!
Changes in MuLab v9.3.17
- Support for VST3 plugins.
- Plugin Manager: Options: Rename Category. Note that you can also double-click a category in the “Categories” pane to rename it.
- Plugin Manager: Add Category, Remove Category, … now works on selected plugins if any, else on all plugins.
- Plugin Manager: Refined behavior when the plugin database contains multiple plugins with the same name but different plugin format. The appendixes like (1) and (2) are omitted. A plugin name will now have a plugin type appendix like “[VST2]” and “[VST3]” if there are duplicates.
- When searching for a plugin, eg. upon loading a project or preset, any spaces in the plug name are always ignored. For example “Dune3” and “Dune 3” are regarded the same.
- Plugins: Term “Synth” has been renamed to “Instrument”.
- Better default position and size for floating composer clip editors.
- And other improvements.
- When a Module Slot contained a module with mapped MIDI controllers, then the mapping didn’t work. Fixed.
- Dropping REX files did not work anymore. Fixed.
- When a plugin was renamed while its editor was closed, then reopening its editor still showed the old name. Fixed.
- When using CLAP plugins within a Plugin Slot, then the sound could be distorted. Fixed.
The update is free to MuLab 9.x users. New customers can purchase the MuLab App or Plugin for 79 EUR and 78 EUR, respectively. The bundle of both is priced 119 EUR.
