Native Instruments has announced the release of Lone Forest, a new Maschine expansion aimed at producers working in dub techno and related styles. This expansion is the first to bring features from the recently-released Maschine 2.3 software update to Maschine.
LONE FOREST captures the reverb-heavy sound of dub techno styles ranging from Scandinavian experimentalism to the darker, bleaker sound of Detroit and Berlin. With low basslines, dusty drums, and haunting atmospheres, this MASCHINE Expansion effectively captures the reverb-heavy sound of this intriguing genre. Exclusive MONARK presets appear for the first time, adding a rich, analog quality to this expansion. MONARK is part of KOMPLETE SELECT – included with the latest MASCHINE 2.3 update.
LONE FOREST also features new MASSIVE, REAKTOR PRISM, and MASCHINE Drum Synths presets provide editable, genre-specific sounds for added flexibility and precision sound design. LONE FOREST also takes advantage of new MASCHINE 2.3 effects. Combined with special kits, including a ‘Broken Tape’ kit, these elements deliver the trademark atmospheric dub techno aesthetic.
A compact version of LONE FOREST is also available as an iMASCHINE Expansion, for creating beats on the go. Tracks can be exported to MASCHINE STUDIO, MASCHINE, and MASCHINE MIKRO for completion.
Dub techno pioneer Deadbeat has created an exclusive Native Instruments Spotify playlist, showcasing a selection of defining tracks from the genre that inspired Lone Forest.
The Lone Forest expansion for Maschine 2 software is available for purchase for $49 USD / 49 EUR / £44 GBP. The iMaschine expansion is available as an in-app purchase for $0.99 USD / 0.99 EUR / £0.79 GBP.
