Pettinhouse has released version 3.0 of its DirectGuitar sample library for Native Instruments Kontakt.
DirectGuitar 3.0 is an innovative 10Gb (the download is 3.5Gb) Stratocaster guitar for NI Kontakt 3 4 and 5 (No kontakt Player) direct recorded for amp simulator.
It means that the guitar has been recorded directly to the audio interface exactly like when you plug a real electric guitar into it. In this way you can add your favorite amp simulator such as NI Guitar Rig or Amplitube and shape the sound as you wish.

- Amp simulator with DRIVE, BASS, MID, HIGH plus GAINER and DRY button.
- Effects: Delay, Reverb, Phaser, Wah Wah controllable via Mod Wheel.
- 4 new patches: FunkyStrum, Powerchords, Staccato finger and pop-rock Strum.
- Speed knob to change the speed of the articulations.
- Improved layers and mapping. Improved intonation. Guide on board with the map of the key switches.
The sample library is available to purchase for the introductory price of $99 USD (regular $129 USD). DirectGuitar 1.x/2.x users can upgrade $49 for USD.
Pettinhouse has also announced a Summer Sale, offering up to 70% off sample library bundles, and single libraries are $69 USD each instead of $129 USD (excludes DirectGuitar).
