Plughugger has announced the release of a new a soundset for the Pigments 3 software synthesizer by Arturia aimed for modern pop and lighter versions of EDM.
The focus of the Beyond soundset was to use the internal synth engine, using mainly the subtractive part, pushing it as far as possible with additional FM, Unison and the effects in version 3 of Pigments like the multiband compressor and chorus from the Juno.
To make the soundset more broad in range, Plughugger added a handful of modern drum samples from the Elektron Analog Rytm as well as vocal phrases spoken by a speech synthesizer.
To bring out another aspect of the sounds Plughugger remade their personal favorite sounds based on the concept of old-school romplers. Instead of using the analog oscillators, they based the this library on more traditional sound sources such as real pianos, strings, guitars, electric pianos, basses and synth sounds from the Pigments 3 sample library.

All sounds are properly tagged in the preset browser and all four macro knobs are assigned to easily change the feel of the sounds.
