Plughugger has introduced a new collection of hard techno sounds for the Omnisphere 2 virtual instrument from Spectrasonics.
Broken Techno is based on classic techno hardware including the Elektron Analog Rytm, a real Roland TR-909, the Replay 4 Sampler for the Atari ST computer and an Emu E4XT Ultra hardware sampler. To top things off, Plughugger also recorded some speech synthesizer phrases sampled from the Atari.
The design goal with Broken Techno was to combine the sound of modern dark techno with 1990s technology.
This library is aimed to producers of hard and dark techno and industrial genres, but also tribal techno and deep progressive.
Apart from the single presets, we also created a large number of Multi sounds, with the majority based on loops and sequences intended as inspiration for your own tracks. These Multis are completely Kickless. BYOK as we say here. Bring Your Own Kick.
Broken Techno contains 283 sounds in the following categories:
- 59 Arpeggios & Sequences.
- 37 Drum & Percussion.
- 48 Effects.
- 8 Pads and Strings.
- 33 Bass sounds.
- 24 Synth sounds.
- 17 Textures & Soundscapes.
- 17 Speech Synthesizer Atari.
- 40 Multis.
The sound library is on sale for the introduction price of 9.90 EUR until June 16th, 2024 (regular 29.90 EUR). Use coupon code ATARIPOWER at the checkout to get the discount.
