Plughugger has announced the release of a new hardware centric soundset for the Omnisphere virtual instrument from Spectrasonics. Monolith is based on the classic Monomachine groovebox from Elektron.

The Elektron Monomachine was produced between 2004 and 2016 and was a six-voice synthesizer, combined with a sequencer and multiple different sound engines, from classic synth waveforms and FM, to SID Chip emulation and Voice Synthesis inspired by the Texas Instruments Speak & Spell.

With Monolith Plughugger sampled a large amount of their favourite waveforms, including variations and intervals, as well as the classic Monomachine drums. Plughugger paired the sounds with the best suitable effects and filters in Omnisphere with the goal to make an updated and improved Monomachine aimed for modern electronic music.

Monolith contains 246 sounds, including arpeggios and sequences, drums and percussion, effects, pads and strings, bass and synth sounds, textures and soundscapes, speech synthesizer sounds, and multis.

Additionally, a bonus soundset with a handful of sounds recorded from the digital engine of the Syntakt drum computer and synthesizer is included, added another 72 sounds to the collection.

Monolith is on sale for the intro price of 9.90 EUR until November 12th, 2023 (regular 39.90 EUR). Use coupon code MONOLITH at the checkout to get the discount.
