Plughugger has announced the release of a new sound library for Vengeance Sound’s software synthesizer VSP Avenger 2.
The Quantum State expansion comes with 197 new sounds based on samples from 5 Elektron grooveboxes: Monomachine, Analog Rytm, Syntakt, Model Cycles and Analog Four.
The design goal of the soundset was to create a collection of sounds with the classic Elektron feel but with the modern sound of Avenger, aimed for electronic music styles such as House, EDM and Deep House.
Monomachine is the grandmaster classic with a sound that not even the modern Elektrons can touch. Analog Rytm combines hard & punchy drum sounds with deep and defined bass sounds. Syntakt is the modern version of the Monomachine. Model Cycles excels at techno sounds and mellow deep house chords. Analog Four is an analog EDM legend by its own right.
With the raw material from the Elektrons, Plughugger put them through the sound engine of Avenger, with most of the focus on filters, drive and saturation. As a fun little bonus, Plughugger put together 5 complete drum kits with drums and percussion sounds from each Elektron.
