Avid has announced the release of an update to its Pro Tools music production software. The Pro Tools 2022.12 update includes macOS Ventura support, a new Scripting SDK, and a public beta that allows users to run the software natively on Apple M1 and M2 processors.
This release introduces macOS Ventura support, a new scripting SDK that enables developers and facilities to create apps that integrate with Pro Tools, and numerous bug fixes and performance improvements, as well as a public beta that offers native Apple Silicon support.
Also Media Composer 2022.12 can now export Pro Tools session files, and Pro Tools 2022.12 better supports reading marker data generated by Media Composer and places it in the Pro Tools marker ruler.
Pro Tools 2022.12 is a universal binary application that includes the fully-qualified version that currently runs on Intel and Apple silicon machines via Rosetta 2, alongside a public beta version of the application that runs natively on Apple silicon machines.
