Relab Development has announced an update to its newly released recreation of the Quantec Room Simulator hardware digital reverb from the 80s. The QuantX resonance reverb was updated to version 1.1 to deliver new capabilities for even more creative control.
QuantX is the world’s only dual-engine re-creation of a revered 80’s hardware reverb, known for its remarkably realistic ambience and extended reverb times. This plug-in not only replicates but also enhances the essence of a legendary studio staple, long celebrated in world-class studios for its unparalleled natural resonance.
Changes in QuantX v1.1
- Assignable Outputs: Customize your reverb routing with the new 4-channel output assign feature. Now, any of the 4 outputs can be independently designated as Left or Right with a simple right-click.
- Parameter Locking: Gain more control with new lock/unlock options. Dry output and reverb mix levels can now be locked in place along with most other parameters.
- Advanced Features: Right-click the product logo to access the internal 1st reflection jumpers, previously available on the hardware. This feature allows you to route and phase-flip the 1st reflection. Also now choose between High Quality and Low Quality modes. High Quality utilizes high-order interpolation to preserve high frequencies, while Low Quality uses linear interpolation, ideal for a more “lo-fi” sound and lighter CPU usage.
Priced $199 USD, QuantX is available at a limited time intro discount (existing Relab users can get an additional account by logging into their account).
The update is free to existing QuantX users. A free 7-day trial is available to try the plugin (VST3, AU and AAX for Windows and Mac).
