At this year’s NAMM Show, RME has introduced a new digitally controlled 12-channel microphone preamplifier with high-resolution A/D conversion as well as MADI, ADAT and Dante network connectivity.
Introduced in 2020, the 12Mic with AVB technology has already set new standards in numerous application fields and received several awards as the new reference for microphone preamps. Now with the new 12Mic-D version, RME responds to the high demand from users who want to integrate the 12Mic into existing Dante systems.
The RME 12Mic-D features twelve microphone and line level inputs with digital, no-compromise, studio-quality conversion; remote controllable gains; integrated MADI and Dante connectivity; plus a multitude of additional functionality, designed to make it the perfect companion for any professional recording setup. The 12Mic-D is sonically identical to the already existing 12Mic (with 128 AVB channels) and complements the M-Series lineup of professional network audio solutions.
The RME 12Mic-D is expected to begin shipping Q4 2022, with pricing to be announced.
