Sensel has recently released a software and firmware update for Morph, its pressure sensitive, next generation input device that puts the power of multi-touch technology into the hands of creators.
Morph allows users to simply swap overlays to change from music, writing, gaming and more. Specifically, musicians can innovate using the Piano, Drum Pad and Music Production overlays.
Sensel has collaborated with Adriano Clemente, Sound Designer and Ableton Certified Trainer, to develop the Music Production Overlay, a customizable MIDI control surface.
The 16 pads, bass synth keyboard, and slew of knobs and sliders equip musicians with all they need for their next hit. Pitch bend and after-pressure make it an essential tool for beats and sound design.
The Sensel team has unveiled an MPE (MIDI Polyphonic Expression) firmware update, setting a new standard that enables multiple gestures on a single finger to be mapped to sounds and synthesizers.
Check the Sensel forum for more details on the update.
Sensel Morph is available for purchase for $299 USD, with overlays priced at $35 USD each.
There’s also a Music Makers bundle, which includes the Morph unit along with the piano, drum pad, and music production overlays at a discounted price of $329 USD.
