Shattered Glass Audio has released an updated version of its Code Red console emulation plugin for Windows and Mac.
Version 1.2.0 introduces AAX support and improves support for the AU format. It also includes some bug fixes.
The Code Red plugin is inspired by two versions of a classic, all tube, British console from the 1960s.
The original console was known for its EQ, bold and punchy character, and the warmth it imparted. The Beatles recorded most of their material using various versions this console.
To increase the flexibility and usability of the plug-in we have replaced the original “Pop” and “Classic” EQs with a fully flexible parametric EQ equipped with a high pass filter, a low shelf filter, three bell filters, and a high shelf filter.
Code Red is available for Windows and Mac (VST/AU/AAX), priced at $44.99 USD. The update is free to existing users.
Code Red Free, the free version that offers Code Red’s core features, has also been updated.
