Prime Loops has launched a new collection of 80 dark and emotional melodies coming straight out of London’s Drill scene.
SKENG: Mazza Drill Melodics features over 200 loops, including dry, processed and MIDI versions.
Produced by Prime Loops’ own in-house Trap production squad based in London, the pack takes influence from local artists such as Headie One, Harlem Spartans, 67, Moscow17, Block6, Zone 2, Meekz, K-Trap, A92, and more.
Since 2016, the UK Drill sound developed via Chicago in South London by the likes of the Harlem Spartans and their ops from neighbouring borough Brixton, Peckham amongst others. These days a huge percentage of USA / Global Drill is produced here in London, where the darkest sound was pioneered and sold back to the USA.
SKENG showcases an array of mazza Drill & Trap styles encompassing all the London boroughs; with heavy influence from Brooklyn & Chicago Drill alike.
The sample pack includes 60 dry loops and 60 processed loops, 20 experimental bonus loops, alongside 60 MIDI files. A bonus pack titled SLUGGZ: Drill Pianos is included as well, featuring 20 Drill piano melodies.
