SKnote has announced the release of a major update to its mono-to-stereo widener and stereo-to-stereo enhancement effect plugin.

Version 2.0 of ThreeD includes 11 algorithms, both for mono and stereo sources. Based on phase, panning, time, the plugin adds width without adding reverb/ambience.

Changes in ThreeD v2.0

  • “Dynamic” mode. Keeps the original stereo image for the transients while processing the sustain and decay. Keeps the original focus on transients.
  • Group-Bypass controls. Check the overall effect of the instances on the mix to fine tune the stereo image.
  • Check mono button (sums to mono to check the effect on the stereo image).
  • Copy and paste the settings as a preset (through clipboard, so from instance to instance).
  • Scalable interface.

Available for Windows and macOS (VST3, AU and AAX), ThreeD is priced $29.99 USD. The update is free for existing users.
