Atmosphere and exploration take centre stage, focusing on using the unnatural to create organic moments & textural beats.
Hazy drums, blurred synths, and smeared vocals give Somnum Aeternum its distinctive sound. We’ve not held back on the processing; plenty of saturation, pitch-shifting, time-stretching & modulation has been used to add heaps of texture and grit to the sounds – layering it all together and running the results through ethereal reverbs & dreamy delays bring home that dense ambient feeling.
