Sonic Charge has announced the release of new scripts that add new features to its Synplant 2 software synthesizer instrument.

Many of you are familiar with the scripting capabilities in Microtonic. Drawing from that, Synplant 2 offers similar scripting functions but also introduces something we call “mods.” These are scripts that load automatically when Synplant starts to enhance the UI by adding or changing features.

The new mods are:

  • Favorite Button: Quickly mark and access your favorite patches.
  • Tween Branches: Enable transitions of sounds across different velocities or keyboard ranges.
  • Detailed DNA Hints: Gain clearer insights into synth settings with enhanced tooltips in the DNA Editor.
  • Graft Onto Branch: Copy and paste branches from different plants into one, allowing you to combine and morph patches.

The mods are available to download for free for owners of Synplant 2 (v2.0.1 required).

New users can try Synplant 2 for up to 3 weeks, or purchase the synth for 149 USD/EUR. Owners of the original Synplant may upgrade for 50 USD/EUR.
