Sonic Zest has announced its latest sample library for Native Instruments Kontakt. Guzheng Rain features the sounds of a deep-sampled Guzheng.
The Guzheng is a 21-string instrument originating from Ancient China, with a resonant soundboard constructued from wu tong wood. We recorded the instruments full range with two articulations: (i) softly plucked and (ii) octave tremolos. Octave tremolos are when you play the same note, an octave apart, in quick succession.
This would be perfect for any composer looking to add an Eastern sound to their film or TV soundtrack.
