Sonic Zest has announced the release of its latest Kontakt instrument library Quantum Pans, featuring the percussive and melodic sounds of ultrasoft cinematic steel pans.
The library includes a deeply sampled cello pan, double alto pan and soprano pan, with multiple round robins and velocity layers.
Quantum Pans reveals a different side to the beloved steel drums. We recorded three pans (a cello, a double alto and a soprano) to capture their full chromatic range. We wanted to unleash a unique cinematic quality, so we recorded multiple velocity layers and round robins.
Like our other instruments in the Quantum range, this lets you unlock the nanoscopic details of these pans when played ultrasoft. Whether on their own or layered with other instruments, Quantum Pans is both percussive and melodic. It can fill in the gaps in your mix and take centre stage. You’re going to love this.
The sample library is available for purchase at Sonic Zest for $20 USD. It requires the full version of Kontakt 5.8.1 or higher.
