Sottovoce DSP has announced the release of an audio plugin designed to slow down and speed up your audio. SpeedShift Speedup uses in-sync time stretching and pitch shifting to create a slowed effect with reverb.
The plug-in takes an imported audio file and slows it up or down. This effect it popular in Hip Hop, EDM, where the sample is altered to create a new idea. The plug-in solves the problem slowing down and speeding up a plugin in the DAW where the user is no longer sure of what the new tempo and key the song is in after a time-stretch in re-pitch mode.
The VST plug-in includes a way to target a specific speed adjustment via the Target Tempo Adjustment dialog. A slowed & sped-up version is now required by most independent labels, and as such, allows musicians to easily get a professional level slowdown and speedup within a single plug-in.
SpeedShift Speedup features
- Quick adjustment dials (speed, pitch and tempo adjustment) to dial in the exact vibe you are looking for.
- Includes a deep reverb which is a common technique used in sped-up type tracks.
- Import or export audio in WAV, MP3, OGG, FLAC or AIFF formats.
Available for Windows and Mac (VST3, AU and AAX), the plugin is priced $24.99 USD.
