Sound Magic has announced the release of a versatile multi-effect plugin designed for enhancing piano sounds. Covering frequency, dynamics, and spatial aspects, Pianist aims to bring out the best in piano recordings.
Unlike other effects units, Pianist includes advanced modeling technology, allowing you to adjust certain physical characteristics of the piano during the mixing process, offering a unique and innovative experience. Powered by the latest Neo EQ 3.0 technology, Pianist lets you adjust harmonic and frequency settings easily with intuitive sliders—no need to hunt for specific frequency ranges; it’s already optimized for you.
Pianist’s dynamic processing is streamlined for ease of use. Rather than complex compressor settings, it provides a few options and knobs to achieve the right sound. A fixed compressor setting helps build a solid foundation, while Neo Loudness technology enhances volume without compromising the piano’s natural tone. With Pianist, you can place your piano on a virtual 3D stage, where an algorithm calculates ideal reverb and panning for realistic depth. You can also choose from modeled microphones with various patterns and techniques, all accessible through the intuitive GUI, like a pro recording engineer.
Pianist for Windows and Mac (VST/VST3 and AU) is on sale for the intro price of $49 USD until February 15th, 2025 (regular $99 USD).
