Soundiron has announced the release of Crystal, a new sample library by Spencer Nunamaker.
Become a glitch master with CRYSTAL, a collection of over 600 unique, shatteringly-crystalline, glitchy percussive strikes, stingers, multisamples and effects that will cut right through your mix. Crystal’s unique sound comes from glass field recordings, twisted and mangled into an easy “out-of-the-box” solution for glitch percussion. Crystal is perfect for minimalist, EDM, IDM, dubstep, chillwave, glitch, post rock, soundtrack, downtempo, dub and ambient. It’s also a fantastic sci-fi sound design tool and awesome for creating custom UI sounds for games and apps.
Sound designer Spencer Nunamaker developed the concept as a companion to DRIP. He was inspired by the piercing and percussive quality of glass and set out to capture that essence with a mixture of acoustic recordings and sonic manipulation. After many weeks of thoughtful sound design and mastering, we have Crystal. Quickly load up 18 different kits or build your own with a range of percussion and FX categories. You’ll also find plenty of melodic synth lead, pad and ambient presets to lay down unique textures and melodies. All of the sounds are cohesively designed to flow. And great results are easy with Crystal — just turn on the arpeggiator, tweak the sequencer and start mashing keys — the results will surprise you! Keep your grooves rolling while using a little bit of chaos to your advantage.
Crystal comes equipped with flexible attack, release, offset, filter selection and sweeping and our robust Arpeggiator system, with lots of dynamic modes and step sequencing. There’s also a full DSP FX rack, with phaser, flanger, chorus, delay, speaker/amp simulators, distortion and convolution reverb with 70 unique acoustic and sound-designed spaces. Explore an endless variety of strange and unexpected sonic possibilities.
The sample library is available for the introductory price of $29 USD until July 6th, 2015 (regular $39 USD). Kontakt presets require the full retail version of Kontakt 5.5 or later. The unlocked samples can be imported into any wav-compatible software.
