Plugin Boutique has introduced SoundSpot Orbit, a new transient designer audio effect plugin for Windows and Mac.

Orbit offers an easy to use way to boost transients and add bite to your mixes.

Transients are the life force of modern music, and sometimes when your instruments just won’t pop in the mix after Eq and compression, then it’s time to reach for a transient designer.

The Orbit is a simple & lightweight tool that will help boost your transients and add bite to your mixes, and whilst the interface may be basic, don’t let that fool you, under the hood you’ll find the same DSP used in our Velo limiter, making the Orbit, a powerful little tool to add to your plugin arsenal.

Orbit’s boost parameter increases the intensity of the effect, from very subtle boosts to extreme overdrive. A combination of logarithmic style envelope followers is used to boost the transients of percussive instruments like beats, drums and percussion as well as rhythmical guitar and synth parts.

Orbit’s algorithm can target slow, medium or fast transients and a mix parameter lets you use Orbit much the same as you would use parallel compression. The internal bypass parameter has been smoothed for pop-free bypassing, which is particularly useful when automating the plugin’s active state in a mix.

Orbit Transient Designer (VST/VST3/AU/AAX) is on sale for just £1 GBP during Plugin Boutique’s 12 Days of Christmas Sale (regular £10 GBP). Various other SoundSpot plugins are also on sale until January 6th, 2018.
