Sounds/To/Sample and DJmag have announced SoundSearch, a contest for sample producers.
It’s true… It’s the biggest competition in the sample world. We’ve teamed up with DJmag to seek out the next generation of sample producers. The winner will receive £1,000 worth of royalty-free samples of their choice of packs from www.soundstosample.com, including titles from Sample Magic, Zero-G, S2S, DrumDog, Best Service, Reimann, Beatluxe, realsamples and more. What’s more – they’ll also receive a contract with S2S to join one of the most respected sample teams on the planet.
To enter, all you have to do is create ten new and original loops that you have created in one of four categories: techno/minimal, house, hip-hop or ‘other’ (any other genre), and send them through to us.
Sounds will be judged by DJmag’s tech editor Mick Wilson, DJ/Producer Sharooz and S2S’s Jake Island.
The closing date is 29 September, midday (GMT).
