Spitfire Audio’s latest LABS series instrument is Lap Steel, a sampled lap steel guitar recorded while bowing and plucking, and running it through delays and reverbs.
Performed and recorded by composer and producer Harpal Mudhar, these inspiring textures and plucks have been created using a vintage lap steel guitar run through beautiful delays and reverbs, taking the instrument beyond its traditional country and bluegrass leanings.
With a sound fit for the widescreen, Lap Steel can be used alongside both organic and electronic elements as an alternative to the guitar.
The LABS series instruments are available to download for free. They run in the Spitfire Audio App for Windows and Mac (VST/VST3/AU/AAX), which is also free.
