Splice has released some new sample packs on its Splice Originals imprint.

Containing over 250 loops and one shots, the Amor Tumbado pack is named for the song “Amor Tumabdo” (directly translated to “love lying”) by Natanael Cano, who created corridos tumbados—songs that combine the traditional songs of Mexico and the lyrics of trap and hip hop music.

Producer Erick Bardeles, however, found inspiration in the HBO series “Vgly” when crafting this pack. He shared, “These sounds are my version of how each scene and season should have sounded. This pack is heavily influenced by how far trap music has seeped into the Latin world. You’ll find a bit of everything—cold eerie melodies, soulful warm chords, and hard-hitting drums.”

For Dusty Crates, Splice Originals producer Xan Young teamed up with retro soul outfit the Youngtones to reimagine what types of sounds the pioneers of hip hop would want to work with today.

With a focus on downtempo R&B stacks, this pack features various instruments recorded in a ’70s soul throwback fashion and resampled using MPC-style techniques with beats and drum one-shots added. If you’re looking for slowed-down grooves, sludgy beats, atmospheric sounds primed for layering, and chilled-out melodies, this pack delivers.

The Dreamgaze pack is centered around 40 new gauzy Serum presets.

Producer Ben Bromley explores the varied colors of Dream Pop and Shoegaze with songstarters, guitar, bass, drums, percussion, vocals, and ambience.

Other recent titles in the Splice Originals series include Norteño, Serum Classic Keys, Cumbiaton Essentials, Pocket Drums Vol. 2, and West African Amapiano.

Splice subscribers can download the sample packs and all individual sounds now. New users can sign up for a free 14-day trial to try Splice Sounds.
