Sub51 has announced the release of a sample library featuring pads, rhythms, drones, loops, effects, lead sounds and basses created using only sounds sampled from a bass guitar being played, hit or scraped.
Free for a limited time, Quondam is available for the full version of Kontakt 6.6.0 or higher.
Requiring the full version of NI’s Kontakt (6.6.0 onwards), Quondam’s contents are divided into Bass, ‘Clicks, Pops and Scrapes’, Dark Arp Loops (Host Sync), Dark Arp Slices with MIDI files, Drones and FX, Hollowed, Morphed, Noises, Obscure, Pads, Rhythmic Loops (Host Sync) and Rhythmic Slices with MIDI files. In all there are over 300 patches which may be further modified via Pan, Tune, Envelope and Velocity controls as well as resonant filtering, lo-fi transformations, saturation and host synced multi-wave LFO modulation with variable fade-in time.
Additionally there are effects comprising Reverb, Delay, Chorus, Phase and Flanger where all but reverb have host sync options. In the relevant sections, the sample start time can also be adjusted with the sample waveform displayed within the instrument’s intuitive, single page GUI.
The sample library is free to download until January 4th, 2023, after which is will be priced £14.95 GBP.
