TBProAudio has released a major update to its wideband stereo compressor effect plugin for Windows and Mac. Designed from scratch, Impress3 includes side-chaining, various prefilter options and state-of-the-art over sampling.
The goal of the design was to cover a broad range of compression applications in today’s mixing and mastering situations with strong focus on low aliasing. So, Impress could be used to shape subtle a snare sound, glue different tracks on instrument bus and even do complex tasks like deessing or voice over’s.
Impress3 features
- New look with large meters and a peak level view. The GUI is freely sizeable and scalable to be used on different screen sizes without any problems.
- Deep control over the gain transfer function. Impress3 can sound very clean or like classic compressor gear.
- Extensive control over the detector path including several processing modes, a 4-band EQ and a spectrum view.
- Flexible look-ahead system, covering application with up to 5000 ms pre delay.
- Loudness target matching system, ABLM, a look-ahead limiter, a clipper, detector/delta signal monitoring and an extensive set of presets.
The plugin is available for Windows and Mac (VST/VST3, AU and AAX), priced 39 EUR (ex. VAT where applicable).
