Instruments By Lamprey has announced the release of its new virtual instrument Tethys, featuring a collection of noisy, idiosyncratic synth recordings.
Tethys, the first experiment in a series of Synth Libraries which are essentially my experiment at making Virtual Instruments more interesting. She has character, imperfections and noise cast into the samples themselves, and multiple velocity layers to help soften the harshness often found in software-based Synths.
Tethys is nostalgic; an excellent companion for a lo-fi or moody ambient piece. She comes with 20 hand-crafted presets and a randomization feature to instantly generate a new patch.
Available for the free NEAT Player (VST/AU) and Kontakt, Tethys priced $40 USD. An limited time introductory 50% discount is available.
