The Crow Hill Company has introduced its definite string library, designed to do everything you need to create seminal string music, whether that be for film, TV, computer games or pop tracks.
Glass Strings features the sounds of small ensemble of musicians who we instructed to make every note sound different, with members bringing new ideas and novel playing styles to the table to create an extraordinary set of tools.
There is no one in Crow Hill who isn’t an adventurer, a creative, a dabbler. Dare we say it, or indeed, a misfit. We have struggled for decades with the foibles of sampled strings and the fact that you get frequency peaking that doesn’t allow you to be as dynamic as real orchestras. The answer our head of product came up with is the “Glass” control, which gave this library its name. It’s a way of managing (reducing or boosting) the fundamentals of each and every note. To give you brighter tones, warmer tones, but also make sure you can give your listener a true sense of the explosive power of a string band.
