Sound design boutique company The Very Loud Indeed Co. has announced the launch of a collection of 120 new cinematic patches for the Omnisphere 2.8 synthesizer by Spectrasonics.
Omnisphere Snowfall includes 116 new sound sources which have been recorded and designed specifically for this soundset. It only uses these new sound sources and does not recycle the stock ones in Omnisphere or any other previous set from the company.
Founder and sound designer Richie Nieto about the library:
“Snowfall is, like some of our other Omnisphere soundsets, very organic and grimy, dripping with character. Its sound sources have been treated with small tuning fluctuations, tape degradation, tiny record noises, gain saturation, and in the case of longer sounds like pads and soundscapes, randomized evolutions over time. This collection is great for scoring tension, dark drama and horror, but it can be easily used to spice up many other genres.”
Omnisphere Snowfall is available at the introductory price of $19 USD until December 19th, 2024 (regular $29 USD).
